Hello, my name is Cami Lupescu and I am the Pre-K 3 Teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School. This is my 3rd year teaching at SJCS and I am very thankful for this opportunity.
Four years ago, my family and I moved to Bradenton from Chicago, and it was the best decision of our lives. I am originally from Transylvania, Romania and the oldest of two, in a family of an orthodox priest and an opera singer. As a priest’s daughter I had the opportunity to get involved and help our parishioners. I always enjoyed making people happy by offering assistance and support, and for this reason, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Medical and Social Working. I am specialized in normal and pathological child development. I worked as an inspector of Social Services on child abuse and family intervention and as a counselor for single mothers and youths until I moved to Chicago in 2004.
In Illinois, I continued working with children and received my certification as an early childhood teacher. We opened a daycare 14 years ago in Chicago and as the owner and director, I had the rewarding and challenging responsibility of running the center and to keeping everyone safe and happy. In addition, I taught all classes, from infants’ up to kindergarten, having a vast experience in early childhood education and development. My husband, Gabriel, is a Romanian Orthodox priest and we have two exceptional kids, Michelle and Paul who attended St. Joseph’s. As dog lovers, we have a one-year-old miniature bernedoodle, Luna.
I know how much you care about your child’s education, and I will do everything I can to ensure a successful year of preschool. My philosophy is that each child is unique in their own way. By acknowledging this, I will be able to help each child discover their individuality and maximize their learning ability. This school year will be filled with lots of exciting activities, music performances, art exploration, physical challenges, great parties, and many friendships. I look forward to giving your child a great love for learning.
