Originally from the “The Windy City”, Chicago, the 3 children in our family all went to St. Thomas More Catholic grammar school. I then went to Mother McAuley High School, my 2 brothers went to Brother Rice, and we all went to Catholic colleges. I am very proud of my education in Catholic Schools.
After raising my 4 children, I returned to teaching at St. Scholastica in Woodridge, IL. There I taught 5th grade for 12 years. During evenings and on weekends I taught first aid and CPR classes for the American Red Cross for 12 and a half years.
We moved to Florida in 2002 where I began to teach 4th grade here at St. Joseph’s. I taught for 18 wonderful years. After 29 years in the classroom, I was sure I deserved a break and I retired. That lasted about 6 months and I realized I left behind my friends and families. From time to time I substitute teach, and I am also one of the Title 1 tutors here for Manatee County. The Best Days Ever!!
I have always raised my children to know that education is the number one priority in their lives. Living in our great country, you can accomplish your dreams and achieve any goals you desire.
