Kate graduated from the University of North Carolina with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and French Education as well as a Master of Education degree in Reading. She also studied classical theater at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, UK.
With twenty-six years of teaching experience in parochial and independent middle and high schools in Florida and North Carolina, she counts her International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement trainings as very helpful in motivating students to understand the contexts of books as they relate to Catholic values and our connections to God and the universe.
Kate is thrilled to be returning to her middle school roots as a language arts teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School. She enjoys reading, cycling, travel, cooking and volunteering with her family.
