Hello, my name is Jodie Golden and I am so happy to be back at St. Joseph Catholic School teaching the second grade. I retired in June but could not stay away from the classroom.
In 1985, I started working in schools and worked as an administrative assistant in the guidance office of three different high schools in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida, and then became a teacher assistant at St. Joseph.
After working as a teacher assistant in first and second grade, I went back to school and earned my degree in elementary education from the University of South Florida in 2011. I am certified to teach K-6 and have an ESOL endorsement. Since then, I have taught kindergarten, fourth grade, and second grade. This will be my ninth year teaching second grade.
My husband of 41 years and I have three children and three grandchildren. All of our children and grandchildren live here except for our oldest grandson who is in the Navy and is stationed in San Diego. My favorite pasttime is spending time with my family.
