Christina Breza is Catholic and attended Catholic schools growing up. As a child she loved storytelling and acting. At age 11 she organized her friends in her neighborhood to form an “acting troupe”. They wrote and performed plays and songs for families and friends.
She was born and raised in South Florida. Her father is a dermatologist, and her mother is a mathematician. Her hobbies growing up in the sunshine state are horseback riding, archery, playing with her numerous animals, enjoying the beach, scrapbooking, traveling, cheerleading, dancing, singing, and volunteering at numerous animal shelters, she loves animals.
As an actor and performer since birth, she attended the University of North Florida where she majored in English. After two years, she transferred to Florida Atlantic University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Theatre.
She received the Bright Futures Scholarship all through college and was a Varsity Cheerleader through high school and college. In addition, Christina achieved the President's list and Dean's List at Florida Atlantic University and was a Member/Secretary of Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honors Society and graduated receiving a BA in Theatre, with honors, Magna Cum-Laude.
She studied acting and theatre at both the New York Film Academy and Florida Atlantic University. Out of college, she went on to star in films such as Award Winning "Roses are Blind"(2018) 'Escape' (2012- Academy Awards selection), and The Perfect Stroke (2014) which she co-produced and directed. She has also performed in the off-Broadway Traveling Company of "Tony and Tina's Wedding," On Broadway in "West Side Story," Traveled to Europe twice for a European charity tour performing for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has been seen on stage as Sylvia in Sylvia, Columbia in Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Sister Prejean in Dead Man Walking. Christina Breza has a wide range of talents.
In 2016 she completed her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at the New York Conservatory. From there she decided to start pursuing a career in education and completed her certification requirements for teaching
She first taught in Boca Raton, Theatre and Dance, and then moved to Merritt Island, where she taught Middle School at Brevard Private Academy for five years.
She is very excited to be teaching first grade at SJCS.
