Mr. Caraturo is originally from New York, where he grew up in a town called Forest Hills. He has attended Catholic Schools throughout his academic career, beginning with Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School and finally, at St. John's University where he received his Masters Degree in Education. In addition, he taught at St. Matthias Catholic Academy in New York where he was an elementary teacher for 15 years. In his former parish, he served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and as a Reader during Mass.
Recently, Mr. Caraturo moved from New York to Florida. He made this decision with a lot of prayers, asking God to lead him to the right place, and show him where he could serve. Since arriving he had been a long-term substitute at Incarnation Catholic School in Sarasota. His goal as an educator is to help each student to grow both academically and spiritually. He strives to help them reach their potential and to give them the confidence to succeed, as they move forward in their academic career and career path for life.
