We are so proud of all of our fifth grade and middle school students who participated in the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council, Spelling Bee! Congratulations to the winners of seventh and eighth grade - 1st Place, Alysha; 2nd Place, Emmanuel; and 3rd Place Catherine. As well as, the fifth and sixth grade winners - 1st Place, Felicity; 2nd Place, Jade; and 3rd Place, Sadie. We appreciate all that the Knights do, as well as Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hart, for facilitating this enrichment opportunity for our students.
St. Joseph Catholic School students placed first and third at the Knights of Columbus State Spelling Bee in Kissimmee, Florida. Felicity was the First Place winner for Grades 5 and 6, and Emmanuel was the Third Place winner for Grades 7 and 8. The competition between Felicity and the second place winner went over 20 rounds! Thank you to Kate Hart, middle school language arts teacher, who helped them prepare, and was present in Kissimmee for their victory!
Thank you to the KoC – St. Joseph's Council 5604 (kofc5604.org) for making this possible at our school.
